Greetings Wildwood Members,

We will be holding our annual meeting with election of new officers this Saturday June 7th at 10:00am at the Club as scheduled. This is a particularly important annual meeting due to the transition of new Officers and Directors. A picnic style lunch will be provided after the meeting. Please plan to attend.

President- Dominic Mastri

Vice President- Ralph Foytack

Directors, Secretary and Treasurer to be named by Dominic

Due to the weather forecast for this Saturday calling for rain, we will once again postpone our rescheduled spring work detail. Because our weather has been rainy on Saturday's we will take a new approach for the spring work detail fulfillment. We are asking members to reach out to the new Board of Director's (in place this Saturday, June 7, 2025) to arrange a day that you can fulfill your work detail. To make it as easy as possible to work in with other personal summer schedules members will have until July 31st to arrange and complete your work detail.

Members will receive an updated communication from our new Board with who to contact to arrange work. Likely we will try to place members in small work parties on the same day to tackle projects such as scrapping and painting our docks, boathouse and prime and paint newly installed panels on our barn. There are other non-painting jobs as well.

Tim Harding will coordinate with the new Board and members who are interested in helping spread a material called - bentonite - along our dam's spillway to attempt to slow down or stop some seepage issues we are staying ahead of.

If you would like to help with this project please call or text Tim at  570-721-0157

Yours in service as our current Board's final farewell,

Wildwood Board of Directors

Spring Work Detail Saturday May 18th 8:00am

We have been having some ongoing issues with Hideout home owners tresspassing and cutting trees and underbrush along the east side of our lake. This is not a new issue. At one point many years ago our Club put up several fence panels in the most agregious areas to send a clear message that this practice was not acceptable to us. We have been working with Hideout management with this more recent ongoing issue with little satisfaction. Measures taken by The Hidedout  with these home owners have been ineffective. We have reached the point again where installing several fence panels is necessay. One of the primary jobs we will perform at our spring work detail will be to put up four fence panels facing the homes along the lake that have over the last 12 months cut a large number of trees, limbs, undergrowth.

We have a list of other work that needs to be performed so there is something to do for all. Please bring gloves, safety glasses.

As always a picnic style lunch will be provided by the Club with water, soft drinks and beer.

If you are unable to attend the work day on Saturday May 18th you may chose to arrange to go up on your own to complete work.. We always have a running list of task work at our Club. If you are unable to make the work detail but plan on completing work please call our VP Randy Prymock no later than two weeks past the work detail date to arrange work.

Easiest way to get Randy is by cell phone either by talk or text at 610-704-0228

If you are unable to attend the work detail and cannot make up your work day please send in your $100.00 missed work day assessment to our Club Treasurer Bob Emmi by June 1st at his address listed above.

Spring Turkey Hunting

Our loggers are continuing to work in our woods. If you plan on heading to the Club to enjoy some spring turkey hunting please coordinate with our Caretaker Jared Zarnowski one day prior to hunting.

Jared will be able to let you know where and when our loggers will be working so you can stay safely clear of that portion of our property.

Jared's cell phone for talk or text- 570-851-9587

Label Your Property

The Club will be installing a new roof on our summer kitchen very soon. We will rent a dumpster for the demolition. While we have the dumpster we will be throwing away all old unlabeled items in the boat house, garage and barn.

Please clearly label all of your property stored at the Club to avoid having it placed in the dumpster.

Spring is here! Head on up to the Club and enjoy!

Annual Ice Fishing Derby & Beast Feast- This is a first reminder that we will hold our annual ice fishing derby and beast feast on Saturday February 10th, 2024.

Club members participating in fishing are encouraged to bring up to 4 guests in addition to any immediate family members who would like to fish. All members and their guests actively fishing must have a current Pennsylvania fishing license.

Given that we have safe ice the derby will begin at 8:00 am and the official end time will be 1:00 pm for submission of fish to be measured and entered into the contest if you choose to participate in the contest. The beast feast will begin directly after the close of the derby. Everyone is strongly encouraged to bring a covered dish or dessert. Prepared wild game and fish are really great but any prepared dish is very much appreciated.

In the case that the ice is not safe for fishing on that day we will still have the beast feast at 1:00pm. This event is always well attended and a great way to catch up with your fellow members.

Entrance fee to participate in the derby is $5.00.

The Club will award prizes for the largest-

>Bass by length

>Pickerel by length

>Perch by length

The Club holds a door prize raffle during the beast feast. Many members generously bring and donate a prize to be raffled off. Please consider donating a prize for our raffle.

A reminder and updated regarding the event will be sent in February.
